Luo Zhuojing, a professor, Orthopedic spine surgeon, Chang Jiang Scholar Professor, is the director of the department of spine surgery, Xijing Orthopedic hospital, the fourth military medical university. He takes important positions in many professional associations, such as the council member of AOSpine Asia Pacific, the chairperson of fellowship committee of AOSpine Asia Pacific, council member of Asia Pacific Spine Society (APSS), board member of Chinese Orthopaedics Association, standing director of Chinese College of Orthopaedic Surgeons, vice president of Chinese Association of Spine and spinal cord, vice president of Orthopaedic Society of Chinese PL Army, president of Shannxi Spine Surgery Association, and the member of ISSLS.
　　　
     Professor Luo has been working in the department of spine surgery of Xijing orthopedic hospital since his graduation from the Fourth Military Medical University in 1986. He has engaged in clinical practice, teaching and research work since 1986, and got notable achievements in spine injury, spinal cord injury and nerve regeneration, spinal degenerative diseases, spinal deformity and spinal tuberculosis. He is responsible for 21 scientific research programs, including the National High Technology Research and Development Program of China (863 Program), the Major State Basic Research Development Program of China (973 Program), the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and etc. He once won a second prize of State Scientific and Technological Progress Award, and 7 first or second provincial scientific development awards. He also published more than 70 papers in SCI journals.
